I was just attacked by an evil cat

My stepdad feeds my neighbors cat because they are on vacation
I decided to go with him so I could pet the cat
He told me it was mean and I was like naww
So I saw it an it was a really adorable calico with huge green eyes
I let her smell my hand and she gave me a sign of approval by rubbing her head against my hand
so I started to pet her saying to my stepdad "This is such a nice ca-"
I was stopped in the middle of my sentence by the cat scratching and biting my hand at the same time
The whole sentence went something like this:
"This is such a nice ca-owwww never mind!"
My hand started bleeding in 3 places and holy fluff it burned
I attempted to pet the cat again and as soon as my hand touched her she hissed and ran under the table
Jeez why do adorable cats have to be mean
It's weird because I haven't met a mean cat since I was 5 and my cat Rico scratched me up all the time for no reason
